Getting Around Adelaide: Your Guide to Transport Near Dwell
Adelaide really knows how to keep things chill and easy when it comes to getting around. Public transport’s all synced up, with buses, trams, and trains working together like a dream. And at Dwell East End Adelaide (DEEA), you’re pretty much in the sweet spot for all of it.
To use this network, snag a regular metroCARD near DEEA:

Trams
Catch the free tram zone in the CBD—covering hotspots like the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and the Botanic Gardens.
Here are two tram stops that are super close to DEEA:
- North Terrace – University of Adelaide Tram Stop: Just 1-minute walk away, you can catch the Glenelg Tram Line and vibe out to Glenelg Beach.
- Rundle Mall Tram Stop: Just a 5-minute walk, also on the Glenelg Tram Line, which will take you straight to the beach.

Buses
Take the Free City Connector Bus for shopping, dining, and exploring. It runs until 7:15 PM most days and with Friday buses running till 9:15 p.m.
Midnight adventurer? Saturday buses keep cruising till 6 AM. The after-midnight bus routes all pass through the home zone, which services stops E1, V2, X2, and C2

You can catch buses close to DEEA at these stops:
- I1 North Terrace (North Side): 1-minute walk. This one’ll zip you around North Terrace, connecting you to all the city action.
- H2 Grenfell St (North Side): A 2-minute walk. Get on this for a ride around different parts of Adelaide.
- T1 North Terrace (South Side): Another 1-minute walk. It’s got you covered if you’re cruising along North Terrace.
- Y1 Pulteney St (West Side): 2-minute walk. This bus is perfect for hitting different parts of the city.
Adelaide Airport bus services
Adelaide Airport’s bus stop (Stop 10 Adelaide Airport) is right in front of the terminal and connects you straight to the city, with many connections to other areas as well. Easy, affordable, no drama.
Rideshares, Carshares & Taxis
Uber, DiDi, and women-only Shebah are there when you need ‘em. Or try Flexicar, GoGet, and Uber Carshare to borrow a car without the whole ownership drama.
